In New Smyrna for a girl's trip, there were four of us and we all loved this place, the service was outstanding, the food was HEAVENLY, we had the Lobster Roll with butter, Grilled Cheese and Lobster Sandwich, Fish Tacos and Crab and Corn Chowder, everything was amazing even the side Caesar Salad you get. We would have never thought to get Grilled Cheese with Lobster, however another couple recommended it as we were looking over the menu and it was delicious. The Lobster was so flavorful, I just wanted to keep chewing and never swallow, it was the best lobster I have ever had and believe me I have eaten a lot of lobster. I live 2 1/2 hours away and would drive to this wonderful cafe to have their lobster roll, that's how good it was. I have seen reviews where people think this place is overpriced, I don't agree, you get a whole lobster ready to eat (no cracking/no mess) with warm butter or mayo if you want it cold, with a great tasting salad, where in Florida can you get that for under what you pay here, no where I have ever been. We ate at many places including (The Garlic) while in New Smyrna Beach and this was our favorite.

This is the best lobster roll in the county...maybe the state. I live in Ormond beach and take the trip once a month minimum. They have changed hands but not the food. We like the cold roll with mayo, but the hot one with butter is OK too

Best Lobster rolls I have ever had! I love that they have the "warm" Lobster rolls with drawn butter! They are huge! and simply delicious! The workers are Great! very friendly and go out of there way for there customers. Located right on Flagler Ave a main strip of New Smyrna Beach. They have some tables inside as well as outside to enjoy the nice weather! I can't say enough about this place! Whenever were in town this is one of my first stops! Looking forward to our next visit. I just wish they had one of these here in the Cleveland area!

We were just looking for coffee but stumbled on this place because of the lobster rolls. The service was fantastic, they let us try everything including the lobster from the rolls. We brought 8 rolls home with us for the rest of the family (picky New Englanders) and everyone agreed, these were as good as rolls we all recently had in Mass and were full of more lobster than we had paid for back east. In case you're not sure lobster rolls in New England are this price or more, you can find cheaper ones but they aren't close to over stuffed. Ice cream was pretty good. Lobster cakes were great. Service was superb.

Do yourself a favor and order the lobster bisque... a bowl wasn't enough. I wish I could order a bucket and take home and eat over and over. My family stopped in here on the wine walk, and I wasn't even going to order food - however, the man behind the counter (which I want to add every person working here was amazingly friendly and smiling bright) asked if we wanted to sample the soups. He must've known they were killer... I have to say... it's probably the best I've ever had.

If you spot the Cafe Heavenly on Wheels food truck you have to stop and try the lobster roll. I got the full lobster roll with butter and savored every last lobster filled bite! Yes, the rolls are $20, but this was filled with lobster, and not just small pieces. It was loaded with juicy lobster claws. As a New Englander I have high expectations for lobster rolls, and this exceeded them!

This is probably the best meal we had in New Smyrna. Expensive, but delicious. I ordered a tuscan chicken sandwich while my significant other ordered a saute wrap. The next day we ordered frozen yogurt coffee smoothies. All were fantastic. If we return to New Smyrna beach, this will be our first meal. The service was great, the staff even remembered my name the next day.

Staff very friendly. Offered samples of soups and sangria. All the soups were thick creamy chowders, plus a Manhattan chowder. I had the lobster roll. It was jammed with perfectly cooked lobster meat. On point. Very casual and fast service. Perfect for lunch.

Do yourself a favor and ignore the other reviews on the site. First, everyone working in the cafe were super nice and helpful. The food is tremendous. I am from Boston so I have a very high expectation when it comes to lobster rolls. It was the best I have ever had and that is exaggeration. It was a full pound of very fresh delicate sweet lobster, I ordered mine warm with drawn butter and my guest got the chilled Pune with light mayo. I had mine with a ice cold beer served in a chilled. And then for desert we both hadBlueberry Gelato, that is made on premises. In fact nearly the entire menu and ingredients are made on site. Don't miss out on a great lunch or dinner at this fabulous eatery. And just so you know, I don't work for the cafe or even know anyone that works there. So this review is the real thing.

Cozy, comfy little restaurant. They have gelato that looks delicious and sell bottles of wine. Very very very friendly staff. Husband and wife shop that makes you feel welcome. I ordered the hot lobster roll. SO DELICIOUS.

Sympathy amazing! I had the lobster bisque soup and a lobster roll with warm butter. The inside dining area is small and so are the tables but the food is huge with flavor. I will come back to NSB just for a another lobster roll! Enjoy!!

We went after a day at the beach. I tried nearly everything that I could. All of it was delicious. The lobster bisque, mango homemade tea, & gelatos were great! We ordered the crab cakes and thoroughly enjoyed them. If you like homemade, then this is your home. The prices are high, but it's worth it.

Disregard the negative reviews. They are from local newbs. This place was awesome. I got the groupon. Service was great. We had the lobster roll and the shrimp roll. The roll it came on was toasted and crispy outside and soft inside. Lobster was delicious. Not stringy and chewy. Truly heavenly. The shrimp roll was delicious. Same roll used. Yum. Ice tea was a great mix for the meal. Returned again and the lobster roll warm with butter is great. So much lobster meat

Damn. I was actually looking forward to trying the lobster rolls here. Not horrible, but DEFINITELY not worth the price. My fiancé and I were visiting his parents and decided to give this place a try considering the good rating and pics. I ordered cold, he ordered hot and we shared. I was not impressed. The lobster was very bland, and the hot was almost as cold as the cold. Even after adding s&p it still was underwhelming. I've had some kick ass lobstah rolls (in NYC & Brooklyn-Greenpoint, "The Lobster Joint") and they were cheaper and head and shoulders over these rolls. We also sampled the Lobster Bisque which was better than the sandwiches, but not by much. It wasn't a classic lobster bisque by any means, and it was almost on the verge of being cold. The staff were really friendly, but they should adjust the seasonings accordingly, maybe toss the hot lobster in butter and the cold in the mayo as well as serve items at a proper temp. Just plain overpriced for the product put out, period.

This place has even better lobster rolls and lobster bisque than the places I used to frequent in Maine. Okay, so the food is a bit expensive (look out for coupons), but it is completely worth it. The lobster rolls are huge and amazingly delicious. The menu also includes fresh smoothies, wraps, chowders, sandwiches, crab, gelato, and wine. Everything we tried has been very good and we are eager to go back despite it being an hour away from us. The restaurant itself is small, but it has indoor and outdoor seating. It is pet friendly and close to a dog-friendly beach, so it's a nice place to bring your pooch. It is a popular spot, so expect a wait. You can also do take-out for a nice beach picnic. I definitely recommend this place if you like casual quality seafood.

Great lobster rolls and mahi tacos. We bring friends here because there is delicious food for everyone including vegetarians. And we bring our dog here for the doggie ice cream! We love coming here after a morning at the beach.

My first visit and it won't be my last. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a great lunch with Lobster Bisque, Shrimp Tacos and Two different kinds if Lobster Rolls. Perfect relaxing lunch in the heart of New Smyrna Beach. Overall, it was a bit pricey for lunch, but amazing food.

Visit of Monday, 6-16-14. Arguably the best Lobster Roll you'll find in Florida. My wife had eaten here on a previous trip with my brother and sister-in-law so they made sure I tried it again with them. I had the Shrimp Roll to be different and the other three had the Lobster Roll. The sandwiches were excellent and we discovered that the homemade ice cream were also second to none because of the soups. The reason I say "because of the soups" was that we tried the Lobster Bisque, the Crab Corn Chowder, and the New England Clam Chowder, which accounts for the fifth star that fell from the sky. They tasted as if they were made with raw flour which replaces much of the taste with a chalky palate of gluten. Peaks even formed in the Lobster Bisque as I drew it onto my spoon. "Which one is this?" I asked my wife. "This one has corn in it and it tastes sour." (Another party returned their corn chowder for the same reason a few minutes later) Sure enough it did taste sour, and we exchanged it for a New England Clam Chowder. I didn't want them to lose the sale, except that the Chowder suffered from the same gluten-rich béchamel issue of the other two. The soups are their only Achilles Heel. While I'd warn you against trying the soups, the sandwiches and the ice cream were superb. The manager/owner offered us some free ice cream, grape soda flavor and pistachio. Innovative, homemade, and excellent. The only other negative was that both TVs were off just as the USA/Ghana game was starting. Because they were off, I didn't realize they had TVs and I started to panic, saying we must go somewhere else!! My wife pointed them out and, sure enough, they were able to put the game on. Since the life of a restaurant operator is a perpetuity of distractions, I recommend setting channels on the TVs ahead of time and leaving them on. It definitely would reduce Momentary World Cup Separation Anxiety every four years... This is a gem of a place in a wonderful walking district in NSB. And, I repeat, they have the best Lobster Roll south of Wiscasset, Maine. Enjoy.

Loved this place so much we ended up going 3 more times. The facilities were very nice and you will be eating the best lobster rolls in Florida. No kidding, there is so much tender lobster meat you'll think you've died and gone to lobster heaven. Want to thank employees Debbie and John, who were instrumental in making sure our expectations were exceeded in giving us outstanding service.

After a long day at the beach, I was in the mood for smoothies... No wait, lobster roll... No wait, I can just have both! So I found this little place less than a mile away from the beach. The decor is adorable. Typical beach furniture with wicker chairs and funky pieces. But sadly, after the cool atmosphere and friendly staff, it kind of goes downhill from there. For example, the prices of the menu items are really high for what you're getting. We got two smoothies and split a lobster roll that totaled up to $36, $21 being the lobster roll. The smoothies (just over $6) weren't anything special that I couldn't get at a Tropical Smoothie for half the price. The lobster roll was probably the biggest disappointment. I'm particular about my lobster rolls (partially because I got spoiled with my first one being from Monsta Lobsta) so I know when I'm eating a good roll; however, this definitely missed the mark. The bun tasted more stale than satisfyingly toasted. And the meat was chewy and didn't have any flavor. I walked away with a less than satisfying meal that I could have skipped and used to pay for a tank of gas.

We went back and tried the new Super Cheese Steak, along with an Italian Panini. I placed a phone order to go, but automatically used my real first name, thus compromising my anonymity, after an email exchange with the owner. The cheese steak was improved, with more and better sliced meat, but only a few pepper slices, and the same freezer taste. The side of Caesar salad was pretty much the same, if not smaller to fit in the to-go cup. I added a couple pics so you can decide for yourself if what you see are $12-13 sandwiches. I wish that the 3 stars just meant OK, because A-OK was used infrequently at the Cape (Canaveral) in years gone by to mean very good.

I was drawn here by a giant flag advertising lobster rolls, and after hanging out in the sun on the beach with my dog all day, I was perhaps a bit tired and didn't check the Yelp app beforehand (I know, what was I thinking?) - glad I didn't bc the negative reviews might have scared me off. I had a positive experience. I ordered and received a decently large lobster roll, not overly mayonnaised and with a cup of butter along side. I really do need to start carrying Old Bay in my purse but it was still tasty. Super nice server too, she brought my dog water then asked if she could bring him a "treat" - he's a corgi, of COURSE he wants a treat - and so I'm expecting her to come back out with a biscuit or something. She comes out with a bowl of ice cream with a biscuit on top. He loved that.

We stopped here during the wine walk at first and tried cups of the lobster bisque. Wow! Instantly hooked. Cafe Heavenly is now a staple during our beach visits. The lobster rolls are overflowing and delicious, especially when you drizzle a little bisque on top. They also have a killer wine selection, to include the best chocolate wine I've ever had.

Is this place real life? This is a wonderful cafe on Flagler near the Causeway. We rode our bikes over went inside to order and it was a wonderful experience the entire time. One of our neighbors told us to try the lobster roll, so that's what I went with because why not? You can order it cold tossed in mayo or warm tossed in butter. Hubs went with cold and I went with warm, I preferred the cold; but they are BOTH amazingly delicious. We sat outside at one of the cozy outdoor area. I ended lunch with birthday cake gelato and he had the coconut. You can literally taste the love and heart that went into the homemade ice cream. The place is small, quiet, clean and friendly. The prices aren't cheap, so don't expect a bargain but money will be worth it. Out of all the places on Flagler, this is definitely my favorite. Every once in a while they will have a Groupon for the lobster roll which I stalk on a regular basis too.

We went to Cafe Heavenly for lunch after a recommendation from our condo owner in New Smyrna Beach. The staff was very friendly and struck up a conversation with all of the patrons. The food was a delicious surprise for a very unassuming casual cafe. The lobster roll is made with the meat of an entire Maine lobster and easily fed my wife and myself. I had a cup of their excellent New England-style chowder while my wife had a side salad to accompany the cold lobster roll. I recommend a visit to this restaurant whenever you are in the area!

We were in town visiting relatives and stopped here on a whim. The food, service and facilities were so good, we went back the next day. My husband ordered the lobster roll both days. He was very satisfied with it. I had the fish tacos which were very fresh and healthy. Day 2, I ordered a turkey lettuce wrap which was a very generous portion. This place, the staff and food are very worthy of 5 stars.

My wife and I went in to try the lobster rolls on a whim and left stuffed and hooked. The lo step rolls are very, very good and the lobster bisque is rich and delicious!! The rolls are stuffed with huge chunks of sweet and succulent lobster and served with a side of drawn butter. The bisque is thick, rich, delicious and has a lot of lobster. On top of the great food (a new favorite restaurant for us) is the fantastic staff. Everyone there is chatty, helpful and very courteous, which is an added bonus. We will be going back for more of these delicious delights.

Wow. This is possibly the most overpriced, under whelming food I've had in ages. That's pretty bad considering I live in Deland. I ordered a black bean mango salad and it consisted of a handful of lettuce tossed in a fried tortilla shell, with what had to be an entire can of black beans on top with a few chunks of mango, maybe half a sliced avocado, and a few slivers of red pepper. It's pretty apparent that they are obsessed with Caesar salad. It comes with everything on the menu, it looks like it's well done, but I loathe it, so it turned me off a bit. The ordering process is weird too, if you'll come to my table to hand me a menu, why should I get up to order at the counter? But other than the strange ordering process, the service was very warm and we were greeted at the door immediately. The two stars are all for the service, I know it's a tourist trap but they still need to step up the food for the price. $22.95 for a lobster roll that could fit in s hot dog tray? Give me a break people...

Very mixed reviews here on this one, but I thought it was great. We went to the place in NSB (have not tried their food truck) for lunch, and got a couple of sandwiches. They were excellent. They make lots of homemade soups here, which I honestly think is a big deal, since most soup you find nowadays is just powder-based. Can't say I can give a complete review, but the place was nice, the variety big, the people were really nice, and I would certainly go back.

  • Jamie M.

Every time i've gone here, they get my order wrong, the lettuce is old and wilted, rotten. And a sandwich, a BLT!! about 6-8 inches with a couple pieces of bacon and lettuce on it with NO SIDE for the longest time, now a tiny non existent ceaser salad, costs somewhere around 13 dollars. I wish they would improve the service and DEFINITELY the prices, possibly the sides, and I would be a continuous customer. It is close to 40 dollars for two sandwiches or wraps and a bag of chips. With rotten lettuce, every time. I've eaten here so many times, had BLTs from here so many times, continuing to hope for better, but always! Rotten lettuce every single time.

This place is inconsistent. Chaotic with a few tables. You order at the counter and there is no rhyme or reason to how it comes out. It took forever to get our glass of wine and diet coke. The fish tacos the fish was tough and overcooked. One of the worst dish tacos I've had. The lobster bisque was incredible. A wonderful creamy taste although served lukewarm. My sister's Rueben had more sauerkraut than corned beef. Very expensive. Stick with the chowders. The lobster roll looked great but very expensive

This place is way overpriced and the food isn't very good. I sampled the curry chicken wrap, pesto veggie wrap and the black bean soup. The curry chicken wrap was oozing some kind of yellow oil and was mostly void of chicken. The taste was OK, but it was a complete ripoff for $10. Most of the wrap was just rice. The wrap came with chips - 5 freaking potato chips. Seriously? The pesto veggie wrap tasted OK, but again it was very light on substance and a complete ripoff for $10. Based on taste and substance it was a $5 wrap, at best. The black bean soup tasted OK, but it had many hot and cold spots which is indicative of a quick microwave job. That's sloppy and inexcusable. There's an outdoor seating area in front of the restaurant but it faces the road and is highly abrasive due to all the motorcycles and other loud traffic. I don't mind a bit of noise, but it was quite annoying. The employees weren't very friendly either. I will not return.

I have noticed that the reviews have been either wonderful or terrible for this place, and having only been here once I am going for wonderful. I bought a Groupon ($8 for $16 worth of food) thinking I needed to expand my home range a bit. When I got to the counter both girls were very nice, and gave me some time to look at the menu--as well as free samples of sangria, clam chowder, and lobster bisque while I decided. The sangria was great but it is an iced-tea day, and a little too warm for heavy soups. I ordered the lobster roll, and loved it. Having recently had lobster roll in New England, the size was on point for the price, and it was lightly seasoned and dressed and the lobster really shined through. It was on a toasted roll rather than a split bun, which I liked a lot. The texture worked really well. The iced tea was fresh and abundant, and the outdoor patio a nice place to enjoy it. I will be back for sure, and will be sure to re-yelp if there are dramatic differences.

I love that this restaurant on Flagler has so many choices.....we all like choices, don't we? I brought my vegetarian niece who had so much to choose from - smoothies, wraps, etc. I had to try the lobster roll and enjoyed it very much. I like it that you can get breakfast, lunch and dinner along with beer and wine. I like the seating outside where you can watch the cars and people go by and see the north bridge. I'm a fan.

There is no reason in FL for a lobster roll to cost $20. I have lobster at a minimum of once a week. I buy them for 5.95 each they are 1-1 1/2 lbs. So even if there is as they say "a whole lobster" in each roll they are quite overpriced. If you ask for it warm it has a bit of butter on it , still it was very dry so I spooned some of the lobster bisque on top which made it edible. The lobster bisque was a whole other story! It was awesome, rich, creamy, buttery, lobstery without being fishy. This they are trained for. I will def be having some shipped to me...I don't need the experience of going here again it was small and cluttered feeling aggravated by stuff all over the walls and p.s. when you charge $20 for a sandwich I want it on a REAL PLATE!! Not a checkered paper (what the heck are those anyway?) box-like thing.

My wife had the lobster bisque and said it was by far the best she had ever had. I had the steak and cheese sandwich and thought it was amazing. Our kids (3 and 6 years old) just had ice cream. If they have the monster mash ice cream......GET IT!!!! Very cool little place. They serve beer and wine too. I was shocked but they also had a drive-thru. I would recommend this price to anyone in the neighborhood. Has outdoor seating.

After spending the day broiling under the sun and enjoying the waves to no end this place offered a great relief with some very delish smoothies and wraps. Being a vegetarian and having my vegan friend with me it was good to find a place that offered so many veggie options without sacrificing the taste. If you're in the area I highly recommend dropping by. The only issue I had was that you do have to walk a bit to get to it and it's right next to the Causeway so I wouldn't recommend coming here for the view.

This restaurant had a truck at "FoodTruck Friday" in Celebration, FL on 10/12/12. We paid $16 for a warm lobster roll. What we got was a pile of stringy, rubbery, cold lobster on a rock hard roll! OMG so gross! What a waste of money!!

I luv Heavenly!!! Have been there twice in the last month. Used a groupon for the lobster roll, which was a great deal! And the lobster roll was fabulous!! And today went w/ another friend who really loved the lobster roll; and the chicken pesto wrap (spinach) was delicious! Tasted a few of their ice creams which are homemade, and so creamy and fresh. This is a really good hidden gem in NSB!!

While their food is ok and smoothies good it is over priced for the area. NEVER go through the drive-thru it took 30 minutes and the staff was extremely rude and seemed annoyed anyone was going though the line. Ok food but staff needs a lesson in customer service.

We went to this restaurant this past weekend because we were looking forward to the lobster rolls we saw on a local ad. We also ordered the corn and crab soup and that was just okay, very watery and almost no crab OR corn. The worst part of this establishment is the shoddy customer service. After waiting about 45 minutes for our two sandwiches (which was just plain lobster drenched in butter on a roll), I went up to the counter and asked if our food would be coming soon because we were running short on time. I was told they were being made and would be coming right up. So we waited, and waited. I realized that people after us were already eating or finished with their lunch, so I went inside and asked again about our order. The rude b!tch behind the counter dismissively said, "There are only 2 people cooking and they are doing the best they can!". After a bunch of hubbub in the back, the equally rude cooks said they sent our order out awhile ago and they apparently delivered it to the wrong table. There were no apologies, no offer from the cook staff to re-make our sandwich right away, so the cashier ended up having to make our sandwiches. The only good thing I can say, is that there was plenty of lobster meat, although there was NOTHING special about the sandwich. The quality of the meat was just okay, a little rubbery, and just slapped on a crummy roll with melted butter and nothing else. I have no tolerance for people in the food service industry being so curt and nasty to their customers when I'm spending $20 on a mediocre sandwich.

There are lot of great reviews of this place on other sites. Some of the magic was lost on me though. I had the 'Venice Turkey and Roasted Pepper Wrap' that promised sliced Turkey breast, toasted red and green peppers, brown rice, black olives, melted in provolone cheese with vine ripe tomatoes, leaf lettuce and Italian dressing. There were a few olives, no rice, and the peppers were roasted beyond all recognition. (Did I just coin a new term...ROBAR?) The Italian dressing wasn't anything too special either, it tasted like this wrap needed some better seasoning (salt and pepper). For 8 bucks, I was hoping for a more filling sandwich. I didn't get a smoothie but opted for the apple, carrot, celery, lemon juice. Juiced to order, $2.75 for a small. The celery and lemon didn't pair all too well for me and completely overshadowed the apple and carrot. Wasted calories. The gelato looked awesome, but was $3.50 for 1 scoop, and I was already over budget for lunch. I'd go back, but not when I'm super hungry and really watching my budget.

These ladies make the best smoothies in a 100-mile radius. Get a large acai power smoothies and you're set for the entire day. Love 'em to pieces.

I didn't even order anything! We walked in, and the guy behind the counter said here's a menu, come back to the counter when your ready to order. Not a hi, hello, nothing! Very disappointed after reading the other reviews!

Whenever I'm in the area I make sure to pick up their lobster bisque and a pint of their coconut ice cream. Both are amazing! Their shakes a great as well.

We love the lobster rolls here! They are refreshing and delicious. A little pricey but worth it because you can taste the quality. Their smoothies are also worth trying.
